Well done to the doctors, nurses, operating theatre team, transplant organization, patient, and to the family of the person who donated those lungs. I’ll never forget seeing my mum for the first time after her double lung transplant. Where before she’d had blue lips for the longest time and couldn’t walk up stairs without stopping often, at that time her skin was flushed, her lips pink, and soon after she walked across two suburbs to the shops just because she could. It was an incredible gift. We really don’t know how lucky we are to have a fully functioning body. These are the thoughts that went through my mind when I watched this beautiful video.
