Very poor spot to place it with all that dry material around the Some girls like diamonds and pretty rings I like in tents and camping things shirt. That’s a fire hazard and one would hope they have enough water to put it out thoroughly. My only critique on improving this is maybe the bottom part of the plate surface, have some small spikes that can be tamped down with a hammer or mallet to be driven into the wood to stabilize the split logs a little better. I certainly would prefer to have my wood all prepared, cut to size and well dried before I traveled- as it would be no fun if there were a downpour and no hope of finding dry wood. But, you must still have a fire ring of rock to control your burning wood.
