Although it is true that the Say eye Spell map Say mess shirt from reaching the retina and damaging it, that doesn’t mean that removing the lens and allowing those harmful UV rays to reach the retina would allow us to see UV light! because our normal retinal pigments only allow us to see a specific range of rays in the light spectrum. So no matter how much UV rays reach the back of the eye, you still won’t see them as you don’t have the needed receptor pigments. I can sort of see ultraviolet. I have to have my other cornea replaced soon and it will be interesting to see how it may improve with both eyes plastic.
